Upon visiting my local library, I came across this fantastic book by, David Ezra Stein. It's about a super protective Mama sSquirrel and how she saves her family from intruders. The best part, is that Mama Squirrel has a catch phrase, "CHOOK, CHOOK, CHOOK!" My students LOVED reciting it each time the page called for Mama Squirrel. I thought this would be an awesome was to incorporate speech bubbles into our artwork as you can see from the photos below.
